COLLEEN MAHAR
Colleen Mahar is from a small town in Central New York State named Cobleskill. She Graduated from Cobleskill-Richmondville High School in July 2017. She now attends Brigham Young University - Idaho with a major in FCS Entrepreneurship in Apparel.
She comes from a family of 6; Father Daniel, Mother Amy, Older Sister Courtney, and Twin Younger Brothers Connor and Chase.
She enjoys sewing, reading, playing games, and sketching.

What I’ve Worked On
July 2016 - Present
CASHIER / FRONT END SUPERVISOR
I worked at a local grocery store chain located in the Northeast of the US named Price Chopper. I was made a floor supervisor after 1 year working there. As Floor Supervisor I had to let people go on breaks and lunches, call in people to work if someone calls in, and be in charge of alcohol purchases with a minor worker. I still work there during my off-semester when I am home to earn money for the next semester of College.

RECEPTIONIST / SECRETARY
I work for Sherwood Veith CPA in Cobleskill, New York. I answered the phone, scheduled appointments, filed, and put together tax returns for clients.

DESIGN INTERN
I was a Design Intern at Dawn Enterprises in Blackfoot Idaho for a semester to gain some knowledge and experience in the design area. I learned more on how to work on Gerber CAD Pattern Making, Learned how. to put together design folders, learn Easy Order and Easy Marking, learn how to use a Gerber Cutting Machine, and help out on a Sewing Line for customers.
September 2020 - July 2021
TEACHING ASSISTANT (TA) SEWING LAB
I worked with the Teacher, Sharon Carpenter, in her Home Decor Design classes along with her CAD Pattern Making class. I watched the students on zoom in case they had questions, helped students in the classroom with their projects or samples, graded the samples and portfolios, and did whatever she needed me to do in her CAD class.
