APPAREL CONSTRUCTION I
This course is for those with little or no sewing experience. Students will learn the application of construction principles from commercial patterns in making apparel. Emphasis will be on basic construction techniques and fundamental fitting.Â
Course Outcomes:
1. Demonstrate proper construction techniques.
2. Follow instructions, both written and oral.
3. Use correct terminology in relation to sewing construction.
4. Derive solutions to construction problems.
5. Recognize high and poor quality in clothing construction.
6. Build confidence inability to construct pleasing, wearable apparel.
SPRING 2018 FASHION SHOW
I couldn't find the whole Show but this is the portion of the show where I am seen in the White tulle skirt with the Black V-Neck.
APPAREL CONSTRUCTION II
The major goal of this course is to improve sewing skills. to an advanced level, reaching new heights in finished products. Proper techniques should be used on all projects. It is also a goal to expand your expertise in sewing, as they are used in a variety of fabric including plaids, wools, lining, and knits. On completion of this course, I am able to:
Demonstrate proper construction techniques​
Follow pattern instructions
Use correct terminology in relation to sewing construction
Derive solutions to construction problems
Recognize the quality of clothing construction
Build confidence in sewing skills so that you are able to teach the techniques which have been taught
