HOME DECOR DESIGN

This basic how-to course is designed to teach construction techniques for home decor sewing. Pillows, pillow shams, dust ruffles, duvet covers, bedspreads, quilts, table linens, and window treatments will be included. Students are required to furnish the fabric and notions for individual projects.
Course Outcomes:
1. Learn about various home decor fabrics and how to coordinate fabric, textures, and colors.
2. Use the sewing machine, embroidery machine, and serger for construction of table linens, pillows, bed coverings, and window treatments.
3. Give a lot of latitude for creativity in their projects.
