DRAPING PATTERN DESIGN

The major goal of this course is to help students acquire the knowledge and skills for draping on a dress form to create designs and patterns. Upon completion of the course the students should be able to:
1.Demonstrate proper steps in draping a bodice and skirt on a dress form.
2.Apply specific draping principles in creating patterns from draping.
3.Derive solution for problems, such as drape of fabric and grainline.
4.Construct a final draping design using appropriate draping techniques.
